Seasonal Garden Advice

Because I love everything about gardening, I consider it a year-round endeavor. Throughout all four seasons, I am thinking about gardening and trying to get as much enjoyment from my gardens as I can.
You can be doing the same!

Here are some ways Gardenscapes can help you make the most of your garden and landscape – twelve months of the year:

Create Year-Round Garden Interest
Are you a gardener who places most of your emphasis on spring and summer gardening?
You aren’t alone. This is when most visits to local nurseries occur and it’s the time when we find most plants in bloom. To me, the winter garden can be just as beautiful and it is possible to plan for interest from November through March. The fall garden offers its own beauty as plants turn shades of gold, rust and burgundy. Let us help you extend your garden season in both directions!

Help You Protect Your Investment
Exclusively for Gardenscapes clients, I have created customized care plans that list specific instructions for each plant that we install. I also include guidelines on the care that your plants will need in each season. Who wouldn’t benefit from such a helpful resource?

I am thrilled with your plant and tree care charts. Our plants will all appreciate the proper care. JR, Haydenville MA

Provide Seasonal Gardening Education
This is where Garden Coaching comes in. Each season has its own list of garden chores. Do you ever wonder –

  • when is the right time to transplant?
  • when should I divide?
  • is it alright to prune this shrub in the spring or should I wait?
  • how do I deadhead my plants for continuous bloom?
  • why doesn’t my Hydrangea bloom?
  • and more . . . . .

These are the answers that Gardenscapes can easily help you with.

Easy Access To Our Proven Advice
Of course, you can pick up a gardening book to look up answers to your questions, but unless the book focuses on our Zone 5 growing area and takes our climate, rainfall, soil and plant availability into consideration, you often learn by trial and error.

Eliminate the guesswork and take advantage of my more than 30 years of gardening here in Hadley, MA.
